Find the Michelin Man


This early in 2009, the K3 Média team is proud to announce the recent release of the “Where is the Michelin Man?” online contest. Done for the Montreal Canadiens, this is the second contest in which the agency has been involved.


The concept for the contest is rather fun. It resembles something akin to “Where’s Waldo?”, with Waldo replaced by the Michelin Man. Seeing as the online visual environment is the Bell Centre, hockey fans will feel right at home.

THE CONTRACT

For this project, K3 set up the microsite for the contest, as well as digital advertisements and web banners serving as a call to action.

Effix Marketing Inc, the Bell Centre’s exclusive marketing firm, oversaw the whole project, thus delegating several aspects of the contract to K3. The art direction, graphic design and the integration of the visuals were provided by the agency, as well as the technical portion of the contest, obviously.

THE DETAILS

Other than the programming and the web integration, the agency used K3 Soft to complete the technical aspect of the contract. In this project, the K3-developped tool was used for the contest management; simplifying data recovery and allowing us to see the number of participants.

A CONCLUSIVE POST-MORTEM

The K3 team is very happy with the results for the online contest contract. Also having done the conception of many web banners for the client, the agency is very enthusiastic about contracts to come.

The “Where is the Michelin Man?” contest will be online during all of this year’s hockey season. Canadiens fans will have plenty to keep them busy and amused between this season’s games!
